The official location of SNMG2 remains unknown. The USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) is being directed to the 7th Fleet area of operations to assist in the disaster in Bangladesh due to the recent cyclone. It is unclear which ships of the strike group are going to Bangladesh.

Over the next several days there will be a number of new ships entering the 5th Fleet Area of Operation. The French, Australians, British, Canadians. and US all have new forces at sea heading to the region as part of the next series of scheduled rotations and regional responses to piracy issues.
