FYI: I am unaware of any reporting regarding the location of SNMG-2, I just know it crossed the Suez nearly 2 weeks ago and has not returned. SNMG-2 could be heading to the Pacific for all I know, but it is listed as a potential regional task force as it is speculated to be somewhere in the Indian Ocean. For all the current events near Pakistan, this is a safe assumption until more information is released.

Additionally, the official Navy status page indicated all week long every CVN/CV and LHA/LHD not in dry dock was at sea this week. There are valid reasons for each individual platform as they are all in various stages of operational readiness, but the high level readiness of both the United States Navy and Royal Navy has been a topic of conversion of several naval observers lately. While there are obvious conclusions one could jump to with so many destabilizing events around the world this week, the only factual conclusion that can be drawn from this information is the absolute and total success of the Fleet Response Plan implimented several years ago.
