This is something we have been discussing a lot lately, the appearance that China has gone streetfighter with so many cheap Type 39 submarines and Type 22s being built, and at the rate of construction. I read a really poorly done military comparison in Foreign Policy on China yesterday, so poorly I won't link in fact, but the numbers cited just from last year are already way outdated, and it appears that guy at least doesn't see the strategy of the PLAN. If they were open about their intentions, I'd be less concerned.
Either way, we've been chatting a lot that it looks like China is going streetfighter, and apparently that is what this weekends scenario is.
I'm playing a mothership of 25,000 tons, with massive numbers of unmanned systems for many roles, I have 8 250 ton manned streetfighters, 2 DDGs, 3 support ships, and 1 LHA(R). Apparently the objective is centered around the Marines in the South Pacific. The opposition appears to be China.
This is my streetfighter, actually something similar since the weapons are US, but it is interesting nonetheless. The 500 nm range is kept, looks like a major limitation as I examine the map.
