I figured I would post these photos because they are high quality, but based on the comments this week from our earlier photos of the USS Lassen (DDG 82) visit, those aren't the photo's people want to see....

Photo Album of the USS Lassen (DDG 82) coming into China. Some thoughts. First, When I visited Shanghai my impression was Shanghai is one dirt nasty shit hole of a place, and these photo's reminded me of that. I felt really small there because it is so massive, and China is an impressive place in general, but the Olympic games won't be able to hide the environmental problems in some cities in China no matter how hard NBC tries.
I think the pictures are pretty cool in the way they highlight the USS Lassen (DDG 82) emerging from the smog. I wonder if the environmental problems of Shanghai resonates with the visiting ships crew the way it gives the impression on camera? China really is an incredible place, it is sad when you think about the impression they give the world in photography with the environmental issues so obvious in their big cities.
Another thought, the officers and crew of the USS Lassen (DDG 82) clearly kick ass. Check out those E's!
