I’m honored to join the contributors to Information Dissemination, and I thank Galrahn for his gracious invitation. It will be a welcome challenge to contribute anything of the caliber routinely seen on this blog. Most of all, it will be a privilege to exchange ideas with such a diverse and creative group.
The corollary to that privilege is a responsibility to be honest and respectful. I hope that can go both ways. Principally, I’m looking forward to being corrected when I’m wrong, questioned when I’m unclear, and challenged when I’m controversial. To paraphrase a very wise man, honest and forthright debate is the greatest engine ever invented for the discovery of truth.
By way of introduction: I’m a lawyer with a large national firm, which I consider my penance for not joining the JAG Corps. There have been many issues discussed here that have a legal angle, and while I cannot and will not be dispensing any legal advice (the standard disclaimer), I hope to bring my professional training to the table.
I’m looking forward to joining the conversation.
