The blog started in 2007 as an attempt by me to collect a variety of opinions around the internet and create a group blog with international flavor regarding Naval centric topics. That plan went bust when I quickly realized the only person interested in that concept was me.
So in July 2007 it evolved, looking inward instead of outward, I ended up recruiting the assistance of two of my closest friends, the real brains behind the blog. Unfortunately, neither ever wrote a single topic, nor left comments. In September of 2008, both of my friends departed the blog as they moved on to new careers, and I very much miss their collective advice and inputs.
Luckily, as I looked to fill the void, I have found other contributors willing to post here. Feng, The Custodian, Yankee Sailor, Winthrop, Bender; thank you for your contributions on the blog. I do expect that as time allows, this blog will continue to evolve. I appreciate all of the readers and contributors in the comments, you make me smarter every day. There are too many supporters to name and properly show my appreciation, but I want to send a special thanks to Noah, Mary, Tom, Dave, David, Matt, and Robert. You are fantastic people and I appreciate the advice and mentoring.
