The most important capability the Navy has given up as a 'budget cut' is carrier based fixed wing ASW. The necessity to put carrier based fixed wing aircraft back on carriers to support the ASW mission is something I hope the QDR looks at.
Surely an inexpensive, capable S-3 can be affordable.
